Clowns Matter

There has been recent small town hysteria over clowns. I grew up with Howdy Doody’s Clarabell and Emmett Kelly and cannot fathom this paranoia. Sadly the first reaction of so many rednecks is gun blast, murder the clown costumed persons. Some kid dresses as a clown for Halloween then they deserve to die. What kind of rationale is that??? Because of a couple places in the South having childrens playgrounds haunted by suspicious clown figures, the whole country has gone insane. The village is full of idiots. Get real. A clown is possibly a CLOWN. Ronald McDonald is passé, but hey, he doesn’t deserve this.

GOP choices

Looks like the GOP and its talking heads will be displaying their “He did too little” placards rather than their “He went too far” ones.  God Bless our President.

Syrian intervention

The issue of punishing the use of Sarin gas in Syria is serious but also a conundrum.  I am pleased the President put the monkey on Congress’ back, for he was targeted for blame whatever direction he chose.  The intelligence is something to which I am not fully privy.  Many question the accuracy of our intel.  The sectarian violence with Kurds, Shia and Sunni and various tribes all involved is complex to extreme.  Many of the rebels may have Al-Queda ties. But Assad and his family have a history of viciously tamping down any opposition.  The government claims the evidence and circumstances clearly point to the regime’s guilt.  I will leave it to the Congressional groups to judge the accuracy of the intel.  Certainly our allies in the region desire action.  Both Israel (AIPAC too) and the Saudis are seeking our missile justice on Assad.  Iran is part of the equation. 

Our dilemma is that we cannot know the consequences, short term or long term.  Chickens are always far down the way waiting to come to roost in retaliation for actions another generation of Americans will have forgotten.  The rebel forces already resent our hesitation, but what their feelings will be if an errant missile kills their kin is another matter.  Reagan left Lebanon with some salvos from battleships; perhaps we can escape this situation with similar scenarios. I am happy I don’t have to make this decision.  God Bless our President and our representatives as they decide.

Peace elusive, wonder why?

Israel once nurtured Hamas as an alternative to the PLO.  Now the John Hageeites, who have sworn fealty to the Bebe bomb bomb man, want to ban Hamas from Twitter.  There are those of us who will persistently seek knowledge and will expose the Taliban emulation of the Israeli tyrants.

American politicians have kowtowed to TelAviv despite its aggressive settlements and its excesses like torpedoes into our USS Liberty.  The long range interests if Israel and the world would be better served by moderation and compromise but Bebe is now up for reelection and serves his root constituency with murderous behavior.  On radical right radio I recently heard a Hageeite preaching the clear choice between “good and evil”.  His listeners of course must’ve soaked it up having been shielded from the facts of decades of offenses against Muslims and Palestinian Christians by Israel and harangued with anti-Palestinian stories.  The U.S. must scold its unruly ally before it is too late.   Those of the John Nelson Darby “faith” may seek to destroy the world precipitously, but many of us want reconciliation and healing.

Looks like New Mexico’s Erin Bouquin has joined Joycelyn Elders and others in the list of sensible leaders whose wisdom is censored or punished.

America is looking Forward with our President and his campaign; I just wish West Virginia Governor Tomblin & Senator Manchin would get their heads out of their @&*#s and look beyond mountaintop removal and fracked waters and tired old schemes and look to getting progressive industries into our state. Better public schools might help too.

Facetious fiendishness

Wow, I can’t wait for Santorum to be President; he’s going to see to it that my religious rites are accepted. I can’t wait to proselytize my neighbors for my bestial orgies and ritual murders. So happy the state has to stay out of this stuff.

Puke Man

Santorum just gave a fiery speech about George Washington. I think I’ll send him a copy of George Washington’s letter to the Jewish community of Newport; then he can have another big puke session. And I’ll remind him of the invasion of (gasp) Pennsylvania by Washington/Hamilton accompanied troops to enforce the right of the Federal regulators to TAX. Ricky go barf !!
